Delaware County Register of Wills

The Register of Wills is an elected official who also serves as the Clerk of the Orphan’s Court. They oversee the probate of wills, appointment of executors and administrators, and the issuance of marriage licenses, petitions, subpoenas, and probate and estate records. The Register of Wills presides over probate hearings, including taking sworn witness testimony, making evidentiary rulings and issuing orders appealable to Orphans’ Court. (We will vote for ONE candidate.)

Vincent Rongione

Vincent A. Rongione, Esq. currently serves as Delaware County’s Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphan’s Court. A respected attorney with over 15 years of experience in local, state, and federal government, Mr. Rongione has held leadership roles across public and nonprofit sectors. His career includes service as Chief Administrative Officer of Upper Darby, Director of Communications on Capitol Hill, and Southeast Delegation Director in Harrisburg. His legal background spans municipal law, zoning, labor law, land use, and economic development. A graduate of Villanova University and Villanova Law, Mr. Rongione is also trained in mediation and is a proud alumnus of the National Outdoor Leadership School.

Deeply rooted in Delaware County, Mr. Rongione is a Haverford High School graduate and an active community leader. He volunteers with environmental and civic organizations like Friends of Upper Darby Trails and the Darby Creek Valley Association, and he supports first responders through the Wills for Heroes program. Vincent serves on multiple local boards and councils, including the Delaware County Bar Association and the Interactive Gaming Revenue Authority. He lives in Upper Darby with his wife and their two young children, and enjoys hiking, the beach, and cheering on Villanova basketball in his free time.
